The law firm of Wohlforth, Brecht, Cartledge & Brooking, A Professional Corporation was founded in 1967 and has built a diverse and comprehensive practice in the areas of public finance, business, securities, banking, commercial, environmental, real estate, labor, employment, municipal and state agency law, and civil litigation. January		Mary B. Pinkel joins the firm as an Associate. Her practice will include municipal, public finance and business law. Ms. Pinkel has previously worked in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Alaska, the Anchorage Municipal Attorney’s Office and the State of Alaska Attorney General’s Office.
2011
October 7		Attorney Julius J. Brecht is part of a panel addressing “Legal Issues in Starting a New Venture”, presented as a Continuing Legal Education seminar by the Alaska Bar Association.
October 1		Attorney Eric E. Wohlforth is designated as University of Alaska Anchorage Alumni of Achievement in recognition of outstanding lifelong achievement, leadership and service to the UAA community.
January 18		Attorney Julius J. Brecht presents "Securities Registration and Exemption from Alaska's Perspective" to the Business Law section of the Alaska Bar Association.
2010
September 24		Attorney Julius J. Brecht presents “Securities Registration and Exemption from Alaska’s Perspective” to the Alaska Division of Banking and Securities.
September 24		Attorney Julius J. Brecht presents “Brief Outline of Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 with Emphasis on Securities Regulation” to the Alaska Division of Banking and Securities.

2009
September		Eric E. Wohlforth, elected a Regular Fellow of the American College of Board Council. The college was organized to gather together lawyers who are distinguished for their skills and experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of bond law and who contribute substantially to the best interests of the bar and the general public. As such, Mr. Wohlforth is the only Alaska attorney elected.
May		Firm founder, Eric E. Wohlforth, receives honorary Doctor of Law degree from the University of Alaska, Anchorage in recognition of his civic engagement, dedication, achievements, and contributions to Alaska. Click here to read more.
